For future versions of CMSMS (probably 2.0 or later), it would be really nice to be able to run multiple installations of a module on any given site. For example, install News once for news items, and install it a second time for use as a blog. Obviously this would require some extra steps during the installation, to customize the db table prefixes, Admin menu link text, etc. But this would be really cool, as far as I'm concerned.
Anyone else interested in this? I have no idea what would be required to get this implemented. At one time I had two installs of Hitcounter on one site. That one wasn't too bad to hack at, but News is obviously more complicated by several orders of magnitude.
