Front End User filter problem

Hello all.

I've got FEU installed and established a test group and users. All is good to this point, but I'm not finding the filter under the Users tab simple.

I'm not clear on what, exactly, should be entered in Username Regular Expression and Value (regular expression). I have searched the forum and found some info from Calguy who said that, for example, to search for someone with "f" in their name then a simple 'f' should be entered in the field. I have tried this in a variety of ways and it doesn't work for me.

Since I know nothing about regular expressions I thought it might be good to read up a bit, but this hasn't really helped me solve my problem.

I am assuming, of course, that once the correct text is entered that I will see a list of users.
