Newbie layout question [SOLVED]

Newbie layout question [SOLVED]

Hi All

Please be patient with as I am a newbie to CMSMS and only trying to learn the ropes still. I have been asked to do a brouchure site for a friend and he wants it set-up in a specific method. Basically he is looking to be able to navigate between products as it is in this site -> http://www.topshredders.ie/products/home-small-office/. Ie click on a product summary section and have a content page open that contains all the detailed data on the product.

My 1st thoughts on this is to use multiple content blocks having one for each product but that seems very messy to maintain.

Does anybody know of an easy way to do this in CMSMS?

I have a pretty good knowledge of HTML and programming but my CSS is a bit ropey just yet so if you provide any code examples or links to modules then that would be excellent.

I have been looking around and came across cataloger module, does anybody know if this would meet my needs?

yes the cataloger will give you a solution to have categories and items in these categories

a little test example i did last week for fun (sorry the main website is in dutch)

1st off thanks for all the replies

Does the products module have a method of showing a preview of the page eg an image and summary text?
and again the same question for the cataloguer module.

I have done some tweaking with the summary & detail templates in the products module and got it do display the type of data that i need it to bar the above issue.

I was thinking their maybe something simple like $entry->image?

OK actually managed to find some of the info on this in the forums and a few searches
