Add-Me Errors in admin pulldowns.

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Add-Me Errors in admin pulldowns.

Post by DonnaNJ »

I just installed the newest version of CMS/MS - it's a window's server but running PHP/Apache/MySQL and the install process all went through.

However - the admin panel - when I log in has Add-me error for ecample in the Module Manager it has

--Add Me - module:MenuManager string:menumanager--

I did a load of the module files but still the same thing.

What else can I do  to make this work ?

thanks

Did you install FULL or BASE, and what is the "default language" set to.... As when you installed BASE, you only have the English lang-files. When you select another language, that wont be found.

If you installed FULL, make sure that all files are transferred...

hi - I did a full install - and I only want English.

I tried re-uploading the modules folder - but I'm still getting these messages.

Am I missing a file ? Or is a file corrupt ? how can tell which one ... ?

I;m still seeing the Add-me errors
So I tried to reinstall

I also noticed this

string(231) "Smarty error: [in install1.tpl line 19]: syntax error: plugin function smarty_function_cycle() not found in \NAWINFS03\home\users\web\b1604\rh.ladventures/lib/smarty/plugins\function.cycle.php (Smarty_Compiler.class.php, line 805)" string(225) "Smarty error: [in install1.tpl line 26]: [plugin] function smarty_modifier_date_format() not found in \NAWINFS03\home\users\web\b1604\rh.ladventures/lib/smarty/plugins\modifier.date_format.php (core.load_plugins.php, line 75)"

function.cycle.php and modified.data_format.php are not IN my plugins directory.

This is V1.5.2 ... is there a newer one I should beusing ?

1.5.3 Was released this week. Try using the full version there. The AddMe means the translation string is missing for that section.

I moved it from a windows host to a linux host.

Same add me errors and frontpage error.

Do i need to re-install CMS MS?

UPDATE: Also some minor errors in the admin: string(55) "Smarty error: unable to read resource: "systeminfo.tpl""

I am using 1.5.3 btw

Have you tried the latest version (1.5.3) yet? If you have, try just deleting the MenuManager folder in /modules and uploading it again from a new download. Maybe the language file got corrupted while you were unpacking the download.

Eidt: Oh... sorry you must have edited your post to include the version while I was responding :)

reinstalled everything and all is fine. Took me some time.

However i have no clou what caused the errors.

Regarding all those URL's, can't CMS MS determine the base URL automatically? Like joomla does for example.
When i move a joomla install, i even don;t need to update the base url manually. This would be a great feature for CMS MS.

Have you tried Filezilla to compare local and remote folders ?

I am going to venture to bet that you had a corrupted file somewhere.
