Hi Lena,
please provide a link to your website. I believe that you should try adding {metadata} to all your templates, but your replies make it sound unlikely that this will fix the issue. (Although your original post makes it sound likely) I understand the following from your replies:
1. Images DO appear on the website
2. All the images are broken in the ADMIN section of your webiste (
http://www.yourwebsite.domain/admin/ section). This includes filemanager/imagemanager.
These are the things I still need to know:
1. Have you attempted to view the images via FTP? Do you understand what is FTP? (File transfer protocol)
Here is what I currently think will solve your problem, based on your answers, and knowing that there are still unknown variables:
1. Permissions. The folders that the images are in should be set to 777. Do you know how to set permissions?
2. Path issue in your config.php file. do you know what this is? Where it is? How to reach it?
3. Lack of an image library in PHP to create thumbnails (unlikely)
I believe it's one of the first two.
Here is how we can ensure that this is solved easily & quickly:
1. Post a template from one of the pages of your site. It doesn't matter which template. By template, I mean the content under "Layout" "Templates".
2. Give us a link to the live portion of the site which is publically viewable. (Ex. "
http://www.yoursitename.com")
I hope that helps Lena. Thank you.
