menu not appearing after site transfer

Hello

I've just been given some CMSMS files and database to transfer to a new hosting company.  It's version 1.2.3.

I transferred the files, but the menu is not appearing. see http://www.meditationtrust.com

Looking into it, the 'Menu Manager' option under 'Layout' in the admin area is missing.  When occasionally that option appears and I go into it, I get this error message:
"Fatal error: Call to a member function GetFriendlyName() on a non-object in /customers/meditationtrust.com/meditationtrust.com/httpd.www/admin/moduleinterface.php on line 120"

I've tried re-uploading most of the files. Have I missed some somewhere?  Any ideas?

Hi Jo,

I see your menu when I navigate to your site. I assume you  fixed it by:
re-uploading menu manager module/files or there may have been a permissions issue with the folders.

Were either of these the case?

Could you please post solution & add [solved] to your post, so it can help others?

Thanks for reading the post.

Actually I decided to start from scratch.  I deleted everything, installed the latest version of CMSMS, uploaded the 'uploads' file and images from before, and copied over the pages, templates and stylesheets by hand.

It's taken a couple of hours, but at least it's all working.  (I've just finished).  I haven't had much success so far with transferring sites!

It is probably that certain files are missing, or that permissions are wrong.

If you check error logs, it should show you which files/etc are missing.
