admin module to chg colors in css

Post by rsdavis9 »

I am a newbie to cmsms. I have 1.5.1 and I was wondering why a simple module to let a newbie edit the colors of the css isn't available. I know it isnt that hard to go in and change the css but it seems an obvious admin function. I saw mentioned in other posts:
1. add one css to all templates that controls the colors.
2. Make variables in the template and set the variables from a css? an included template?
3. Dynamically generate the css.

My take would be a module that allows the selecting of a css and then list the available color settings for all of the divs and after the user selected it would modify the css and submit to the db. The selection could be made with a color selection dialog like colorzilla(a firefox addon) and possibly show a sample as the changes are made.

The simple answer is.... CMS Made Simple is NOT targeted towards noobs.  it's targeted towards web professionals that know what they want, know about x/html and css... and just want a package that is simple for them to put a simple portfolio/corporate website together, and hand off to the average secretary/admin-assistant to maintain content.

Nuff said.
