Hi,
I have a question.
For a test I have made a flat html website and I would like to know if it is possible to convert it into a cms made simple website/template.
The test site can be found at: http://vpskc1.xlshosting.net/winner/
The requirments for the cms/website are:
Authors login (authors may publish their own content)
RSS feed
Blog like style
Possibility for visitors to give comment to articles
Poll's
When you click on "read more" on the front page the article is shown. But I would like to have a page with advertisment shown for 15 seconds and then the visitor is redirected to the article. And it may not be possible to go to the article directly (a bit like when you click on one of the banners)
Meetingpoint/shoutbox on front page
calender
link exchange
subscription to mailinglist/sending of mailinglists
reporting of visitor activity, how many time a banner of link is visited.
Is it possible to do all of this with the help of cms made simple??? (and some modules)
Thanx,
Kees van den Bos
is cms made simple the right cms for me?????
Re: is cms made simple the right cms for me?????
Let me explain it a bit more in detail
Let's say I have 10 authors and 10 sponsors.
Every author has a dedicated sponsor. When the author publishes an article the message of the sponser has to be "connected" to that article and automaticly been shown when a visitor clicks on the "read more" link. After 15 seconds the visitor is redirected to the full article.
And sponsors need to be able to change their own "in between" message.
This is a very important functionality for this website.

If it's OK, I would like to ask the same question as cueva: Is CMS Made Simple the right CMS for my project?
At my company, we are hoping to do some work for a small private K-8 school, including building them a new website. Our expertise and talent is in the area of editing and design. We have done many small websites and are good at HTML/CSS but have no experience with anything involving PHP. Will we be able to make CMSMS work for us?

CMSMS should work fine for all of the above projects, with a little creativity. You do not need PHP experience to use CMSMS successfully. If you do have PHP experience, you will find that CMSMS can do almost anything you can think of, either out-of-the-box, with an existing module, or with your own modifications.
