Hi all
So I've been using the default (top simple navigation + left subnavigation) theme for the site I'm doing at http://www.stonewaterzen.org/ and everything seems OK. Seems OK in Firefox, Opera, Safari and Chrome at least, but IE7 does something really odd with the margins on the news summary div on the template I've got in the front page only. This affects around 70% of my visitors unfortunately so I can't afford to not fix it!
I've discovered the excellent CSS exploring capabilities of the IE7 "Developer Toolbar", but unfortunately I just can't see what's causing this, I can't track it down! Not only that, but when you mouseover the links in the div, they jump to the right where they stay until you mouseover a link in the main content.
Can anyone see what's going on here? It's really frustrating!!!
Or perhaps suggest ways that I can experiment to rule out possible causes?
[Solved] IE7 odd left margin/padding (?!) in News pane for default theme? Help!

Oh - and I'd love to find out if this is happening in IE6, which I don't have... can anyone tell me?
[My only thoughts so far is that I should just use an IE7 if statement to position the paragraph blocks relative to their current position if using that browser... but worried about the odd behaviour of the p blocks with anchor tags in them, will they leap across to the left as well?]

OK, finally solved this - not sure why, but the problem was because of the search bar appearing above the new pane (see images below).
Moving the search div out of the #sidebar div worked (it's caused other problems, though, so the damned thing is going to be axed...). Tried it in #frontPageRightCol too - this time the layout works in IE7 but breaks FF3. Sigh.
However, original problems solved. Now I can take out my "please upgrade from IE7" warning!
