Recurring problems: TinyMCE and RSS problems after upgrade

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Recurring problems: TinyMCE and RSS problems after upgrade

Post by pwg »

Hi,

I’ve used CMSMS on a number sites and am really happy with it, however I’m having a recurring problem after upgrading from 1.41 to 1.51 or 1.52.

On all the sites I’ve upgraded, it seems that the CMSMS self-link option in TinyMCE has been deleted. Is this part of the upgrade? Is there anyway to restore the option, as teaching users to copy and paste URL’s really isn’t a solution.

The other recurring problem is that the News module now no longer produces an RSS feed.

I didn’t have any problems on 4 or 5 sites with 1.41, but all are having the same problems after the upgrades.

Have I missed something really obvious (entirely possible) or is there a simple answer?

Thanks for any help.

Cheers,

Paul

Nothing on this?

Anybody have an idea of what I'm or CMSMS is doing wrong?

Thanks for any help - much appreciated, as I'd prefer not to go back to 1.41

RSS functionality has been removed from News, please use CGFeedMaker module.

You may have to go to tiny admin and on last tab click the reset all to default, or whatever the last button says...

Thanks for the help and heads up.

The CGFeedmaker looks good.

With TinyMCE I needed to change one of the advanced settings to make the config file static. This added the CMS link in.
