[SOLVED] Menumanager loading slowly

I have been working with CMSSimple for a while now, learning it carefully, and am really enjoying it. I have run into one snag...

The menumanager is causing every page on the site to load very slowly. I see an option for caching pages, but not the menu itself - maybe I am missing it? The template on my site is just a graphically-modified version of the standard one that comes with the CMS download.

It can take around 5 seconds to load the page. The administration pages do not load so slowly, and I have narrowed it down to the one menumanager module because if I uninstall it, the site loads very fast. Of course, then the menu doesn't appear.

I am currently using 1.4.1, Spring Garden.

I would be greatly appreciative of any tips or help. Thanks!

Thanks! I upgraded to 1.5.2 earlier today, and am still having the problem.

I've set up CMS Made Simple on a lot of diff. servers and have never had s problem with menu mananger, other things but not that, so to help we will need as much info as possible, a lot of times to find the problem we will duplicate as close as possible the same thing on one of our machines, the closer the better so the more info the better...

When I disable the menumanager it has 20 sql inquiries...when I enable it, the page report 111 sql inquiries. Shouldn't the menu be in the cache and not pulled from the database on each load?

The rest of the info on that page is most important to the discovery of your problem, like memory allowance etc....
