[Solved] Site + DB server transfer problem

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

[Solved] Site + DB server transfer problem

Post by alexcroox »

Hi guys,

Been using CMS Simple for a couple of weeks now and loving it! I have just tried to move to a different server, copying across all files, exporting then importing the db, changing the url, db, and path settings in config.php.

The front site is completely sparse as you can see from the attached picture. However I know the site is communicating with my db as I can login to /admin/ and view the entire admin area. Although the context seems a little messed, I encountered a similar issue once with phpnuke that made it look like that and it was the language file.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated :D

OK I've solved the problem, was basically an issue with exporting the sql dump from phpmyadmin to restore on different hosting using the rubbish mac sql admin app.

Sorry for wasting your time!
