FormBuilder/CMSMailer Issues

Post by applekeith »

I am not too sure what is going on. I have checked the forums...read tons of material. Maybe I am just getting dense in my old age! I am running FormBuilder 0.5.9, CMSMailer 1.73.13, CMS 1.5.1., CGExtensions 1.14.1, and CGFeedMaker 1.0.3. I have even installed FormBrowser 0.4.3.

The CMSMailer sends the confirmation email just fine.
This message is intended only to verify the validity of the settings in the CMSMailer module.
If you received it, everything is working fine.
Note that I am using the stock contact form.

The submission on the webpage shows:
Contact Us

Thanks! Your submissions have been received.
Your Name: kman
Your Email Address: kman@xxx.xxx
Email Again: kman@xxx.xxx
Subject: Subject Line of Contact Us
Message: Message Box of Contact us. Line 2. Line 3. Line 4. Line 5. Line 6.
Here is the copy of the form that the sender gets:
FormBuilder Submission
Form Name: Contact Form

Your server: akapplegarth.us

Your Email Address:
Email Again:
Subject: Message Box of Contact us.
Line 2.
Line 3.
Line 4.

Message:
And this is what I get in my inbox:
FormBuilder Submission
Form Name: Contact Form

Date of Submission: Wed, 14 Jan 2009 20:41:48 +0000

Your server: akapplegarth.us
IP address of person using form: 158.145.224.33

Your Name: kman
Your Email Address: kman@xxx.xxx
Email Again: kman@xxx.xxx
Subject: Subject Line of Contact Us

So, as you can see, something is wrong...I just don't know where to look.

Many Thanks in Advance,
Keith Applegarth

I found the tempates for the formbuilder. So, that is fixed. The only issue that I have left is the CMSMailer message:
Core Your mail settings have not been configured. This could interfere with the ability of your website to send email messages. You should go to Extensions >> CMSMailer and configure the mail settings with the information provided by your host.
It is configured and sends messages fine. My formbuilder submissions work as well.

Am I just missing a setting somewhere? I attached a screen cap of my CMSMailer settings.

Many thanks in advance,
Keith

I'm having the same problem, my test email in cmsmailer works fine and the contact form in form builder successfully returns an information page for the user, but I don't receive the form submission in my email inbox. (I'm running CMSMS 1.5.2 with Form Builder 0.5.6)

Any ideas?

Problem solved! The 'send to' form field wasn't configured with the email address for receiving form submissions, all working now  :)

Glad to hear yours is fixed. Mine is working as well. But, I have one annoyance.

Does your admin page display:
You have 1 unhandled notification
and if you expand it:
Core Your mail settings have not been configured. This could interfere with the ability of your website to send email messages. You should go to Extensions >> CMSMailer and configure the mail settings with the information provided by your host.
???

Otherwise I have everything working. I was just wondering why I was getting the unhandled notification.

You need to set CMSmailer right to get rid of the notification.

applekeith, in answer to your question, no I'm not getting a cmsmailer notification. It does sound weird, since both the test email and your form submissions are working ... I can see it would be a slight annoyance because your client might wonder at the notification? I'm afraid I'm too much of a newb to be of any use to you, good luck with sorting it out.

Hello Coldman, I've got the same issue, CMSmailer is set right. I've got everything working and CMSmailer is able to send e-mail.

Does anyone know how to solve it?
