install problems

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

install problems

Post by dobo »

hi guys

1. I`ve tried Your cmsms and encountered a problem during instalation. Checking file permissions OK ("first screen"), then the instalation ended with php fatal error ("second screen"). Here is the echo:
"Fatal error: Call to undefined function: is_a() in c:apache\htdocs\lib\log4php\spi\LoggerLoggingEvent.php on line 148"
I`ve tried to see that, but not being such php guru to examine the reason.

2. I use Apache 1.3.23, MySQL 3.23.47-nt, PHP 4.1.1 (I know thats not the newest, but the "triad" installation, so
no need to worry about cooperation).

3. is there easy way to fix that?

thanks, happy New Year .>)

Wow, that's some old stuff there.  :)

We're pretty much stuck to using 4.2.0 and above at this point.  Smarty and cmsms both use a few functions that only show up in 4.2.0 and above.

Sorry about that!

dobo,

You could try XAMPP by Apache Friends http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html

Their are 4 distributions for Windows, Linux, Mac, and Solaris all containing Apache, PHP, MySQL and much more and are free.  I've been using XAMPP locally for development and it's a great package, you'll be up and running in minutes.
