Module suggestion? Artist profile page + image gallery + user ability to update

Hi everyone,
I was hoping I could get some advice as to what modules to use for a project I'm working on.  The website I'm working on will display a list of artists, each with a detailed view of each artist.  Each artist's detail view will have a bio, statement, contact area (email, website, phone) and a section that displays a gallery of images (hopefully using lightbox).  The key is that I'd like to make it so that each artist can log in and update their information and gallery images in one place.  I was thinking of using Frontend Users, but am unsure how to tie in the image gallery aspect.

Any suggestions?

Look at the Member pages and Galleries. They were done with dynamic content blocks/gallery pages, based on the artist name. Each artist can edit only their page and gallery.

Yes! Essentially, except I'd like to show the gallery on the same page as the profile page but I'm assuming that's just a minor detail.

Biggest question is this - is the artist able to update through the front end or do they update through the admin?  I'd prefer them to not have access to the admin.  And do you know which exact modules were used here?

The artists login through the admin, but they only have access to their pages.

For the member pages/galleries, the Album module was the only extra one, outside of the stock CMSMS install. Some other modules were used for other pages, but, essentially, the content is controlled by a couple of UDTs.

Thanks - I appreciate the reply.  I'm actually looking for a frontend user approach to this, as the artists can't have access to the backend (unless there is a way to isolate them only being able to access only their individual profile and gallery section). 

I was thinking some combo of FEU, User Directory, Uploads and Neogallery but not sure how to have them all talk to each other.  Plus, I'm not sure how to have a title and description show up in the gallery if the user uploads through the Uploads module.

Mark, you had mentioned something like this in the works.... were you referring to Calguy's CGUserdirectory that he's currently working on, or something different?

Yes, he is working on a few modules to make a portal type interface, will work just like you want, maybe get with him and help sponsor it...
