still no luck. sigh. although the categories are displaying correctly, they appear below their respective news items which are now showing up in an order which makes no sense: http://www.grumpyfrombirth.com/cmsmades ... ?page=news

i really didn't think this was going to be so difficult as would assume many other people use the news module to organise their articles into yearly categories?

i really need to get this sorted please as it's a charity website and currently the news index makes no sense.

*bump* -- can no one help at all? i can't possibly be the first person to want to display categories in a different order than the one in which they were created? please

UPDATE: seeing as there didn't seem to be a solution to this i've decided to drop the category view and simply list the articles on the news overview page. it's a compromise but couldn't think of anything else. thanks to those who tried to help. much appreciated.

Hello all,

I was just browsing for a solution to this problem and i came across this post. Aura had the same problem I'm now having. Was a solution ever found or is it built into the newer versions of the news module? I simply can't find anything regarding this.

I would have thought there should be a way to change the news categories order. Seems like a basic thing that there *should* be? Anyhow, would love to open this up again if there have been any further developments....!
