[Solved]Possible to insert image that is on your own PC directly in a page?

Post by libralion »

Hi everybody,
Is it possible to insert an image that is on your own PC in a CMSmadesimple page?
Of course I can upload images to the images folder, but can't you insert an image from your own PC from within a cmsmadesimplepage directly? That way is much simpler for my client.

IIRC, is that what TinyMCE supports, by clicking the browse-icon once more, so first it will show the browse on the server, after clicking the browse-icon then once more, it will go into your PC....

Well I must be stupid, because I can't find that. When I am on a page and click on the insert image icon(tree) I get a screen and there I can browse for an image or url, but that does only lead me to the images folder from my CMSmadesimple. There is no other browse icon that i can click on.  ???

yes but I believe it must still be uploaded to the upload folder and selected from there I cannot do it as Ronny suggests

I installed the FCKeditorX and with that as the default editor I can directly insert an image to a page from my PC. ;D

Libralion,

just checked it, and you need to set the "Allow upload and creating dirs in FilePicker:" under Extensions -> TinyMCE.

Please do not change default core modules with not core one such as FCKeditorX, tiny have all what u want just play a bit and tiny it's 100% more fast and secure than FCKeditorX
