Thanks for reading. I just did and upgrade and noticed that I have way to many extra languages then needed in my dir structure. Is it safe to delete the lang dir's that I dont' use?
Thank you,
TJ

Re: Deleting Language Files
You "just did an upgrade" ? Hence I suppose your system is now well running 1.5.1.
What about this :
-backup, backup and backup (files and database).
-delete all the files (you have backed up config.php and .htaccess)
-reinstall 1.5.1 from scratch from the light official package and don't check the checkbox to make the installer create objects in the database, but instead just use the existing one.
-may be restore some files (uploads?)
-may be fix some things with odd modules

Re: Deleting Language Files
I'm running 1.5.1 after the upgrade. I was just trying to clean up some disk space. I'm not sure if its worth the time & effort right now - per your suggestion. I just thought since I don't use those lang files I could delete them without any problems.
I think what I'll do is move them to an archive dir and see if everything continues working. Then it will be an easy roll back if the system starts complaining.
Thanks for your post!

Re: Deleting Language Files
Most times when upgrading from an earlier ver. the early ver. had all the lang. files in it and you may not have noticed it, that being said you can use the cmsmadesimple-1.5.1-base.tar.gz to get just the english lang. files for the core...
Re: Deleting Language Files
This makes good sense. I read the docs and of course they advise to use the full package if upgrading from a certain version.
I'm going to mark this thread as solved.
Thanks,
