why not have create a user account? I'm pretty sure you can add the subscription to the user from... worse comes to worse you could always have the landing page after reg. to be the subscription page...

I'm not very sure about how to do what you say, could you give more details? Create the user account, how or where?

Just set up front end users and self reg mods with the landing pages... and put the subscriptions tag on the landing pages or in the self reg form... try it... there is enough in the help/wiki/forums to walk you through step by step...
