Giving more privileges to the news part is a necessity, page book belong more to the editor.
I would classify news in three fondamental parts
News--->bréves-->summary news
article--> front pages-->head lines
blog entrie-->Personal people storage informations
News should (maybe indexed) and list or views of articles or blog entries are a varitable plus
Let say: users list ..........bloggers list with personal profil,contacts,friends.... small tagger corner.................
Last comments view.............articles with same subjects or categorie.........it is infinite.
Today, i think that in communauty , people have to get a personal space like in this forum to plenty participate of the life of a madesimple website, writing contents.
Blog's part haven't not been yet developping enough and i do believe that cms madesimple would climb another top thinking about it.
