[Solved] News module stopped working

Hi
I have installed the default template and only changed banner and the location of the search box.

I have a problem that the news has stopped working. I cant see what I have done wrong.
I have just added pages, some of them renamed and deleted old news article that is not in use.

I can add a news and it does appear on the front page, but when I click the link it says " page can not be found"

I have tried to delete all news, categories, recreate them but still it does not work.

You can see the problem on www.dmm-support.dk

The news you can see, when in admin mode it has ID in browser:

When I click in normal view from the front page article link it gives:

I can not see the relation and do not understand how to trouble shoot from here.

Does anyone have a good advice or can point me in the rigth direction?

How are you calling {news}. Did you give extra parameters, like detailpage f.e. and if so, does that page exist and is it active...

I have not (at least on purpouse done any changes) on it.

When you say {news} and what i have there. Not sure where to look
This below is from the template file. Is that what you where refering to?
If not where do I have to look

I have just made a test:
Installed CMS default and when clicking on link it opens:

http://www.itfixing.com/index.php?mact= ... eturnid=39


When I open the same in my forum
http://www.dmm-support.dk/index.php?mac ... eturnid=39

So the problem is that the "39" still showing the default. I wonder if this has happened because i deleted the orginal cms news that opviously had ID 39

Is there anyting I can do to correct this

Resolved.

I have resolved it.
It had got the id 39 from an old article.
All I did was to activate that old article, save then new one again and it , the delete the old with ID39 and it worked.
No idea why!!!

Morten,

how did you delete the news-entry, just plain from within the news-module, or from the database directly?

Hi I Just went to the news Article itself and deleted it from there.

It is not 100% resolved. News do open now, but its opens like inside another page.
Look a little strange but as long as it opens its Ok.

THe fact that it opens in another page is correct, as you specified, the detailpage= parameter.... That will cause News to open the details in the page, holding that alias....
