2 {Content} tags on 1 page?

Is it possible to have 2 pages of information on 1 page, in 2 columns? If that makes any sense.

At present I have a left and right column. The left column has the {content} tag in, and the right column will either have a picture in, or some content that I want the user to be able to edit.

Is this possible?

Oh I seeeeee... apologies, I didn't really understand what a global content block was so didn't know what to look for.

nono, not global content block... this will create a regular new content block
