I have 2 sites set up with CMSMS. One has a small number of pages and works just fine. The other, CMSMS v 1.2.5, is causing the page editing section in admin to slow down to a crawl - in fact it won't allow the original admin access to the pages section, I had to create another user with admin privileges to be able to edit pages. Every other section in admin works fine with either user, as does the front side of the website.
I have various other CMS sites on the same host with a large content and no problems, so I don't think it's a database problem.
I have tried disabling and changing the WYSIWYG editor with no effect.
When trying to edit pages they are very slow to open and it takes ages to apply changes and usually a pop up appears after 10+ seconds with:
"You have chosen to open editcontent.php which is a PHP script. What should Firefox do ....... etc"
Click cancel and this disappears and changes have been saved - but what a time it has taken!!
Any ideas folks??

Outdated, deprecated, discontinued, broken, known insecure and unsupported. What do you expect ?hairyharry wrote: CMSMS v 1.2.5
May be a webserver misconfig.hairyharry wrote: When trying to edit pages they are very slow to open and it takes ages to apply changes and usually a pop up appears after 10+ seconds with:

You should first try to work with the supported version of CMSms (1.4.1 today) and then provide the "System Info" from the admin panel if you experience any issue.

OK, both websites updated to 1.4.1.You should first try to work with the supported version of CMSms (1.4.1 today) and then provide the "System Info" from the admin panel if you experience any issue.
Still having the same problem, small site fine, large site as above.
Both sites "System Info" are the same.
Both have red cross against "Max Execution Time" which is 20, and "config-file" which is 0604 - server default can't chmod to 444
Any thoughts?

Is your "large site" on some sort of overloaded cheap hosting plan ?

Yes, along with 2 Joomla, 2 OScommerce, 3 Coppermine photo gallerys, a 4images gallery and 2 PunBB forums, which all run just fine as does the smaller of the 2 sites running CMSms.Is your "large site" on some sort of overloaded cheap hosting plan ?
The site I'm having the problems with has 250+ pages and about 1000 images - which is less than the Joomla sites which run fine on the same host.
I just find it strange that CMSms is having a problem when the other sites are running perfectly happily?

I'm not sure I understand well. Is it a shared hosting or a single private host ?
Anything strange in your http error log ?
