Hi everyone,
I was just wondering if anybody knows if it is possible to set up CMSMS on 2 servers?
The setup would would be great for us would be:
server 1 - where there was a read/write link to the database and purely the admin section on our local network
server 2 - where the front end pages are displayed, read only access to the database on our public web server
is this possible?
Thanks in advance
Jen

Re: Install on 2 servers
I've successfully hosted the database on 'server 1' and the actual files, including admin on 'server 2'. Not sure if you can have db and admin on a separate server though.
Take a penny, leave a penny.

It would be kewl to lift all admin pages off server 2.
I can't seem to find documentation that will give me some insight into the necessary files needed for the displaying of pages or editing of pages (the admin section basically). It would be perfect if I could split the installation across these two servers...

Re: Install on 2 servers
You can use same parameters for DB and drop admin folder on frontend server but you must find a method for "synch" upload (and if you install/upgrade/anything in: modules/plugins) folders
