Templates wont show up (Nob)

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Templates wont show up (Nob)

Post by venx »

Hi. I'm running CMS Made Simple 1.4.1 (Latest release). I'm using PHP 4.3.11, and MySQL 4.1. This is all working with Apache 1.3 running on Red Hat Linux, host GoDaddy

After installing everything fine, I go to my site and it does not show any themes, I selected different templates that came with the software and the same problem occurs, it does not gives me any errors or anything. I tried making my own template and have the same problem. What can I do to fix it?

I did search around the forum and the site and found nothing that would tell me how to solve it. Does anyone has an idea?

Thank you,
V

Hope I asked the question the right way

Were there any warnings or errors when you installed?
What is your php memory limit?

Well that info looks OK. Can you post a link to your site, so we can see what's happening?

The godaddy free hosting javascript ads are interfering with Firefox. The site looks fine on IE.

Check out this thread...

Ohh thanks, do you think that it would look fine in Opera, the problem is that i have a mac so I can't really use IE.

And I guess by paying for the hosting it would fix it too, but I'm waiting until I get everything working like I want to pay for the hosting. Being a college student and with this economy I really need to save money for those loans.

Thank you for all your help, I really appreciate it

I'm using parallels to run Windows XP and I still get the same problem with IE, I guess I won't be able to see how it looks unless I pay for hosting. Any ideas?

Thanks

You could try this free hosting site:

http://www.000webhost.com/

They don't require any ads.

Thank you, that is an excellent idea, I have an account with them already but I forgot all about their hosting.
