the best working payment solution for CMSMS

Hello,

There has been a lot of new eCommerce mods here, but it's a little hard to know which one to pick.... what works.... what is still supported... Heck I'll be honest.... there are a lot of mods that are in that area.... (may-be we can add a user rating system to help?)... So the question at this point is what is the best route of mods to use?

Here is the project:
in CMSM 1.3.1

MySQL5

User resisters for a class through >SelfRegistration 1.2  (there are 8 classes... so 8 groups?)
    -Option for sign up newsletter and alerts > NMS 2.1.1
The user is asked to make payment> ??
After completion of payment the SelfRegistration is completed confirmation emailed off >CMSMailer 1.73.13
admin can view user data>FrontEndUsers 1.4.2


What is the best route?... anyone already do this? Any suggestions would be great but mostly What is the best online payment option?  Thanks for the help here...

I have had no one pipe in on this at all.. sad as I'm sure someone has a working model... anyways... I have not had to do this project yet... It's a week out right now... I have a few ideas but nothing tested yet... sure would be nice to have a 100% solution... anyways... if you find one let me know... other wise I'll post back in a week on this...

What did you come up with on this?  I'm in need of it too for my project, which is actually already a little overdue.

Thanks anybody for any help or guidance on this.  I've already considered switching the whole project over to joomla, as much as I don't want to, just for this functionality.

Hello Dwayne... No one has said a word and No I have not been able to get back on this project yet.. The client has me doing other things first... I will need this as well... I have 4 projects coming that need a real ... stable... full featured payment transaction solution... and I'd hate to have to move out of  CMSMS to get that as those are only small parts of the sites...

Right now I'm rewriting the Album mod for a site I'm working on... may have some time to work a solution out over the weekend may-be some in the nights... but that's about the best I can do to help now.... when the time comes go to this
site, it's my sandbox and it is were I'll run through some tests for a solution...

Sorry that about the best I could help with... My sugesstion would be to just try them all out for now on a test area if you're in a rush... Hope that helps

Well I tried  Products module  but I forgot the issue I had with it, but I think that it was the payment part??? not sure I'd have to go through the forum to find out... but I'll try that again... thanks calguy

Thanks for the idea CalGuy, I've tried the Product Manager, but since I'm still fairly new to CMSMS, and even php, I couldn't figure out how to get it to do what I want it to do.  The site needs to give people the ability to register and pay for something, keeping their registered info, and what they've paid for in the DB.  If they want to go back and buy something else, they should just be able to use the same username, login, pay, and be done, as well as login and have access to some different download areas according to what they've registered for in the past.  I can't get all the components that I think are necessary to communicate back and forth properly.  It's not that easy, with documentation of some of the various modules as sketchy as they are.

...CalGuy, if I came up to Calgary, could I buy some time to better learn and understand some of this stuff?

It'll work for classes, or anything you want... it just doesn't handle stock (quantity available) yet.... so you'd have to manage full classes manually, and disable the product when the class is full or something.

That's right... I remember now... I took that route... but I needed an invoice/recite option but more importantly I needed more then to take a paypal payment... any new options for that?

Nope.... paypal is the only payment gateway I've written.

Orders does invoices... it's just not possible to re-create the invoice once it's initially created yet.

yeah I think thats why I was coming back to that... I was going to take some que's from eComererce modules I've write and try to get them to work for that...
