Is there a solution for this layout problem?

Post by sumpson »

Hello there,

I'm having a layout problem but am not sure if this is the right board, since I think the solution if possible will be a module or other modifications. Feel free to move this topic as moderator.

To explain the problem I have uploaded this picture:

Image

When clicking on the red link all that needs to change is the green part.

The green part is currently a global content block, which needs to stay this way on all other pages.

The current text displayed in the center will need to stay the same when clicking on the red link.

Can anyone push me in the right direction on how to achieve this?

thanks in advance,

Philippe

edit: the website can be found at www.ae-components.com

I can only point you to where you can solve this in the stylesheet used by the menu.

I'm not sure I understand this, but do you want to change the picture on the right,  based on menu selection on the left?

Check out the menu on the left and the pictures which appear under it at:

Apologies if this is not what you wanted.

Thanks for the help so far,

Gregor, yeah I think the navigation template will need some tweaking.

Russ, sorry this is not what i mean;

the pic on the right side is in a global content block.
only this needs to be changen when clicked on the third level navigation with an image and text/download links.

I can think if a solution where i would just add an extra content block, put the image_rotate tag everywhere except on third level pages, but then the second level pages will all have to be copied. Was thinking their might be a different solution.

Hmm, not exactly solved actually.

what i need now is the level 2 page to be shown in the product template.

I have been searching the forum for a long time and found:

"Tip: Easily display the content of all sub-pages (child pages)"

http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... 988.0.html

I can't seem to get this working, perhaps this is because i am also using the multi-language trick ( http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... 756.0.html ) ?

Hope someone can help me here.
