How do I create thumbnails with the News module???

Hi,
Its my first post here and any help would be much appreciated.

What I'm basically trying to do is set up my cms so that the user can upload an image along with their news article, creating thumbnails of fixed size (like what the ImageUpload module does) which can be displayed with the news summary on the front page, while a larger version of the image can be displayed on the news items detail page.

Is that possible? So far I can get the news module to upload an image but I can only display small version of the large image like what is explained in this thread: http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... 266.0.html

I see that a guy has does something like what I'm looking at on this thread but don't know how he did it!! - http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... 987.0.html

He says that he 'modified the news module to:
- be able to upload 1 image with every news item, and to have a thumbnail of that image displayed with the news summary.'

So how do you create proper thumbnail images with the news module???

I like to know this to it possible to mak a thumb by adding a height end weight but that not the right way.
