third party user package

Post by peterbus »

Hello,

At the moment I'm using the newest version of cmsms and a couple of modules. In general this works perfect.

The last couple of weeks I'm working on a couple of websites where it should be possible to give third parties acces to their own pages. No problem with usergroups, -rights, permission etc. However, I miss a few things to make this work perfectly.

Would it (or is it already) be possible to create somekind of third party package/module? This package/module would consist of:

A.    a set place in the page structure where this third party (TP) can create and delete pages. The administrator ceates the  main page fot this TP and the TP can then make/delete/modify pages that automatically appear under this main page. Whatever they do it only happens in their own small section of the website.

B.    for this TP there are also (autmatically) a couple of directories created under upoads/images and uploads/files. The TP can only acces these two directories (upload and use of files in those dir's).

The above two are important. Futhermore you could think of adding something to the package like automatically created categories for the news- and calendar modules.

As written above, using usergroups, rights, etc. works almost the way I would like but there are still some flaws in it. For eample: if I give a TP user only the right to ad pages, these pages can appear on several locations in the pagestructure.
If I give a TP the right to modify files (so they can upload their own images and files) they can place these files anywhere they like  within the upload section. They can also use files/images others than their own.

Any thoughts/suggestions/comments on this??
