better layout for a css menu

I need a modification for a horizontal css menu. I use the cssmenu that is provided with the CMS (version 1.4.1. with all the latest modules) but I need to have some alteration made to it.
I want the menu options to justify to the full width of the menubar and not like it is now, align to the left. But with the ability to set a padding to the outer right and left of the menu.
