{solved} Images uploading but not displaying

Using 1.4.1 Spring Garden.

I had issues when trying to upload images to image manager initially. Used Alby's filepicker.php fix and then changed permissions on files to 777 and can now view image files in image manager but they are not showing up on web pages. Address seems to follow same as config.php. I have tried to view in browser using direct address to image file but it says page not recognized. Where am I going wrong?

I'm hoping its a simple solution!!

Have looked but I don't have ht access file in uploads so I don't think that's the solution but thanks for trying.

Any other suggestions anyone!!
