Recurring events option request

In the calendar module (0.7.14), it doesn't seem possible to enter the frequency as (for example) "3rd Sunday of each month" , which is how many real-life events are scheduled.

It appears that the current "monthly" option actually produces four weekly events, which is a bug.
There needs to be three different modes for monthly events:

1) Monthly
e.g. Fri 2nd May, Mon 2nd June, Wed 2 July ...
2) Four-weekly
e.g. Fri 2nd May, Fri 30 May, Fri 26 June....
3) xth yday in month
e.g. Fri 2nd May, Fri 6th June, Fri 4th July

I second this request. Also I don't know if it works or not, but it's important the you can modify one instance of the recurrent event. Most calendars seem to mess this up.

How about importing a google calendar. This might solve the whole thing.

Actually Palm calendar does a better job managing recurring events than does Google. For example, you can choose every other Tuesday in Palm but not Google. You also can select yearly recurring events in Palm. There's more that Palm does better, but you get the picture.

am i missing something or is this still an issue with 1.0?

i'm trying to add events that occur on the 3rd thursday of every month.

if i set it to recur monthly it will recur on that exact day for example the 21st of the month and if i set it to recur every 4 weeks on thursday, it will eventually be the 2nd thursday and then eventually the 1st thursday.

addtional insight on this would be great
