[solved] Installation: Stuck on Step 1 Version 1.41

Hi Guys and Gals,

I am in the throws of installing version 1.41 and cant seem to get past step one. All the permissions and PHP setting passed with flting colours, it just simply won't progress to the next step. I have search these forums and the only solution I have found is to install an earlier version which I really don't want to do - I just hate going backwards. Hopefully some can point me in the right direction which might help a few other posters!!!

I uploaded the .htaccess file and enabled it and now everything seems to be ok. Think that if there should maybe be some documentation on that somewhere as there is no mention of that in the installation guide!!

There is no .htaccess in the default install root, there is an htaccess.txt file in the doc folder, so your problem was that you had a .htaccess file before you added CMSMS folders/files and it was jamming you up, well we maybe could put some caution in the install doc wiki...
