How to use extra page attribute 1, 2, & 3?

I just downloaded CMSMS 1.4.1, and noticed my pages have 3 "extra page attributes" fields that can be given per page.

I was wondering if someone could provide or point me to some code that would show how I could use those extra page attributes in my template?

So they're basically only for password protected sites and pages?  I was a little confused too.
