Recording social basketball scores

Post by Locker101 »

Hi all

I want to use CMSMS to record my basketball teams results.

Results would be :

Us vs

-

And that would be it.

What module, if any, could be adapted to do this?

Any thoughts?

Cheers!

I tried that - doesn't allow for players though, it's more for one or more teams in a season.

And yes... basically enter a new game and date, put in opposition (and details above).

ok, i just installed tss to have a look and it appears to be a pretty good module.

cept for not having player scores etc..

if it were me, id have a hack at modifying this module or contact duketown, the writer and ask for (maybe fund) these changes.

alternatively.. something like http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/projects/sendeplan could be ok..

Locker101,

As cubix stated, thanks for the compliment, I'm the writer of the TSS module.

Could you state in what part of TSS you want to enter the scores per player? I don't have enough knowledge of basketbal itself so you would need to provide some more detail information. Like: what should be displayed on frontend, how should it be sorted, any filter criteria, etc.

Gday DukeTown,

Basically, I wanted to have (in my head) a table of possible players, like a roster. I can then add those players to a game.

Then I can record how many points, and how many fouls, each player got.
Your module is damn great - checked it out for a soccer club I did a site for. Very customisable.

With me, I only have one team. It's a group of mates, playing once a week really - that's all.

I think it's a lot of work to modify your module - I wouldn't even start to ask that!

I would give him a real detailed layout of what you want, don't look a gift in da mouth ;)

Locker101,

Could you do me a favor and reread my post. There are a couple of questions that you didn't answer.
Bear in mind that if I make changes, I want the changes to apply not only to you precise settings (unless you pay for it). I'm much more looking in an extension to the module that can be used by others as well.

PS. Mark thanks for the support.
