CMSMS vs. Textpattern

Post by Paulo »

The main question (besides preference) for me right now. Why CMSMS? I have a design ready to implement into a cms. I'm learning textpattern and it´s an amazing cms. However i discover CMSMS and really makes me think twice about what cms to use. I hate wordpress so i decide to look for some other options that fill my needs ( easy use, simple admin area (even for clients) blog system, low knowledge of php required, etc ) so, textpattern was the logical choice until now.
Why should i choose CMSMS vs. Textpattern?

I've been around CMSs for a few years now, and have never heard of Textpattern until your post.  It never came up in any of my research on which CMS might be the best for me.  Maybe that says something right there.  Or maybe it just means my research was shoddy.

I think CMSMS offers a professional webdeveloper nearly unlimited flexibility and extendability.  It also offers a serious/dedicated newbie a relatively simple, easy-to-use/install CMS, with lots of potential to grow.

I think the best way for you to decide is to just try a demo of CMSMS. Go through it and test its backend to see if it is too your liking. Look through the Development page and search for possible modules you may need.
