Problem or not? Upgrade existing site to 1.4.1...

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Problem or not? Upgrade existing site to 1.4.1...

Post by uagrad92 »

I have an existing website that I upgraded last night to 1.4.1 from 1.3.1.  Everything seemed to go ok but on the page that was displayed by the upgrade.php script when I clicked on the Click Here to upgrade link, I never received any confirmation back that the upgrade had completed successfully.  My browser (Firefox 3) displayed a rolling circle which usually is an indication that it is waiting for data from the webserver before it can display the page.  I left this in this state for almost 3 hours before finally logging into the site as admin, turning off the Website is down for maintenance message.  I browsed through several of my webpages and everything looked ok and the version was correct at the bottom of the screen.  I've had this problem before although everything seemed to be ok afterward so I haven't reported it.  I'm not sure if this is a bug ornot but I thought I'd let you know so you could look into or for others that may have had the same problem to share their experience.  BTW, I have nearly 2000 pages on my site so I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not.

With "nearly 2000 pages" the cache clearing may take some time ?

Always a good idea to clear site cache before upgrade...
