Re: News Module Customization
You might want to check the Help section (within the CMSms Admin control panel) next time, before you ask for help.
But as Nullig stated, you can customize the way the module looks by adjusting the "summary" and "detail" templates in the "news" section in the admin control panel.
I marked this solved.

That 'stuff' is generated by the smarty tags in the templates ($entry->author for instance). You can easily remove those from the template.
Good luck with it.

Haven't worked with wordpress a lot, but it's true that there's a lot to adjust with CMSms, but that's the beauty of the software imho.fijiwater wrote: Thanks Chris, I"ll loook into it now, Idk if your familiar with it or not but I've been using wordpress on many sites and while setting up this new CMS, have to adjust to a lot of things!
Re: [Solved] News Module Customization
When I go to edit these templates under "news"
I get this:
Error 403: Forbidden

this file and directory permissions make them unavailable from the Internet.
.htaccess contains instructions that prevent public access to this file or directory.
Please check file and directory permissions and .htaccess configuration if you are able to do this. Otherwise, request your webmaster to grant you access.

Make sure all permissions are correctly set to specs in install manual...
Go to users & groups > group permissions > admin and make sure all are ticked...
