Random Image Tag Plug-in

I downloaded and installed the Random Image tag with CMS 10.3 a week ago and it is not working properly. Instead of displaying an image from the image directory it displays the path to the image and the image file name. When the page is refreshed it displays the path with a different image file name. Was this tag tested by anyone else? Any recommendations?
