unable to login to CMS made simple admin login

Hi,

I am running CMS Made Simple 1.2.4.  I'm using PHP 5.2.5 and MySQL 5.0.51a.  This is using Wampserver & phpMyAdmin

My problem:
have built my site using CMS made simple on my wampserver, transferred to new server following steps but using an ftp program (aceFTP3).  after transfer had 404 message which i could not resolve. The new hosting server technician/programmer advised me they were unable to locate issue.  only thing they found was 'that something in your index.php appears to be causing an error, and calling your error handler in lib/misc.functions.php, line 209'.

On searching the forums I could not find a solution, so I decided to go back & start again.  I deleted all the files from the new server thinking I would go through transfer steps again before asking for help.

Now back on my wampserver I cannot login to the admin panel (http://localhost/NTAHC/admin/login.php) I receive Username or password incorrect, also when I go to my localhost on wampserver & click on my project - NTAHC (http://localhost/NTAHC) - I now get 404 cannot find web page. 

NTAHC files are located on same drive as server & are all sitting in www directory.

any help would be most appreciated & if worst case is I have to re install is & start a fresh is there anyway to import pages/files from NTAHC.

This is my first time using CMS, server & database.

instead of fixing this wierd problem try get the same version, install it on a different folder and database.

then access you phpmyadmin panel, on the new database drop all tables, then import the old database to your new database.

if you have any files, copy the directories to new the folder instalation, same paths

everything should work.

I now get the message- Site down for maintenance.  when I try http://localhost/ntahc07/

I cannot login to the admin panel I receive- Username or password incorrect

thanks for the help much appreciated, it turned out the database was corrupted somehow in by exporting & importing the filenames changed & did not work.  so started over & learnt a lot.  now have site up and running & feel very pleased with myself.  Now onto building next website with cms made simple.
