(solved -somewhat) CGI Error The specified CGI application misbehav

Post by izzysanime »

Hi,

I get this error : CGI Error
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers.

The support people sent me this link:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.as ... -us;176113

How do i replace all headers or should I?

thanks,
Josh

Well, a little more info would be helpful...

What is the hosting platform/context? Is it local/remote?
What server Apache/IIS? and version?
What version of PHP?
Is PHP running as CGI/FastCGI?

What version of CMSMS?
What browser are you using?

Its using IIS and not an apache server.  I just checked the CMSMS requirements, and it meets it.

Any suggestions would be great.  Is there a FAQ / tutorial on fixing this?

thanks,
Josh

OK, when i look at the url it is something like "url.com/temp/index.php/temp/install/"
So, in  a test, i removed the index.php/temp part because it was just repeating folder directories that are not there.  SO it brings me to the install pages, I'm renaming the urls on every page, when i create the site and it says that Im done, it brings me back to the install page.  There is a blank config.php file and no site.

Thanks,
Josh

Ok, now the config.php file has content.  Now, when i point my browser to the root page site.com it gives me a page not found error, when i go into admin and click on view for any page but the home page, it loads just fine.  Why is my home page not loading?

Josh

i just made a redirect index.html page to point to the correct home page.  It was not what I wanted to do, but its ok since no one else has responded.

Thanks,
Josh
