All we get is a blank page

Hello

We just moved CMS Made Simple from one server to another. We followed exactly all the directives given by CMS made simple and we did a full dump and restore of the 78 megs MySQL database.

Now the DNS is resolving to the new server but all we get is a blank white page. Where did the site go?

We respected the exact same file folder configuration as on the old server. Both servers run Linux and both are using the cPanel control panel.

To try to figure out what was wrong, we did place an index.html file in the root with the usual 'Hello World' on it and we could see it right away. Once we removed that test file, it goes back to the same blank page and the site won't display at all.

Where did we go wrong on this?  Any help will be GREATLY appreciated.

Can you get into admin?
Did you clear the cache?
Did you update the paths, urls and mysql info in the config.php file?

I just moved a CMS made simple (v 1.2) from linux to windows and am experiencing the same.

I followed the instructions noted in the post http://wiki.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php ... New_Server . I am on windows 2000 server, php 5.1.4 and mysql 5.

I *can* log in to the admin and it is working as expected. I gave the IIS user write permissions to the whole /tmp , /modules and /uploads directories. When logged into the admin it allows me to clear cache and says it is successful. Even after that I can't get the default page to show anything but a white page. Is there anything I can do to get some more robust debug info? Could it have to do with the paths in the config file? I've checked and double-checked everything twice. TIA

Have you done a test fresh/clean install with creating tables and all?...

There is a chance the paths are diff. in windows so this would give you a chance to see how they are set...
