Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.
It's just ignoring the whole menu system. I have removed Menu Manager to allow the hard coded code to display and yet it still won't display. Well, I guess I can eat a whole lot of time and convert the site to WordPress.
Something popped. I plopped the hard coded code into BOTH of my templates and it works for now, but that's just a bandaid. I'm off for awhile, I can't deal with this anymore, I'm gonna have a meltdown.
I'll be back in a couple of hours and maybe I can figure it out. THANKS for all your help. Send me a wishlist link or something, okay?
Nope. I took out the hardcoded code on my default template and added your code (calling the menu manager from the template rather than the GCB) and stil.. no menu.
It is simply ignoring the menu manager. I'm not all that happy with this situation so I'll probably spend the rest of the day converting it to WordPress. I've got to get this site going live today somehow.
That's because while I was out having a meltdown, Nullig fixed it. I will mark this resolved and post his fixes here. Why they mattered from one version of CMSMS to another is a mystery, but his fixes should help someone else who finds themselves in the same boat.
Thanks, Nullig. And .. I'm still waiting for that wishlist link
I'm having the same trouble after updating to the latest version (1.9.2 "Tevairoa"). Our website was working fine until then. Any chance you can share the fix details as I'm getting rather desperate now. I tried all the other suggestions in this thread with no prevail. I've tried so many other themes as well but they don't want to show the menu either.
You really should start a new thread for a post this old, but in the mean time you need to give more info, what version did you have before, what is your {menu} tag, etc., etc....
