uploads and sub folders

Post by mike_gold »

Hallo together

I use CMS Made simple not a long time and can work well with it. But some things do not work as I like:
- I installed it in a subfolder /cms
- there  /uploads one of the subfolders. There I would like to use other sub sub folders like /uploads/pdf.
- in FileManager I can upload files and see them on a new page, but when I want to insert a link using one of these documents I can not link it: I use FCK Editor, and using the link Icon I get the mask but when I want to look the server I find the folder / which is empty ! I can only fill in links using the full path, no relativ pathes..
- pdf has the rights 770
- I could use the folder file, is it a must?

What is here wrong?

Had the same problem today with install of 1.3.1. I could see files I uploaded other then images.

Found a new version here:
http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/projects/tinymce

Works great!!! Fixed my issue

Look for this helpful feature under the settings tab.
Allow upload and creating dirs in FilePicker:

Hallo Shane
That's right, with tinymce this problem is solved
but the second still is unsolved:
if I will use achors to jump to a certain place in page, I also have to put the whole path.
I can define a anchor link #A, but if I use it this leads me to /cms/#A and not to perhaps /cms/aktuell.php#A.
Do you know what I'm doing wrong?
I will look after a new version of FCKEditor.

This is a real problem with FCKeditor that so far no one can solve, which is a real problem as Tiny, IMHO is not as good an editor and its editor window is too small.

FCKEditor hasn't been updated in a while...

The window size in tiny can be adjusted in the settings...

@mike_gold

If you have to make full path links you may need to check that you have   (I used ww. so it wouldn't make a link)...

If not go to site admin > global settings and put it in the metadata box...
