Change the menu

Is there anyway to change the menu?

For example, I want to add an item to the admin-menu.

Is this possible?

I'm not sure how easy this is.

I can think of two ways:

1- Create a new module. In the module interface you can specify under which menu the new module should appear. This requires some PHP programming.

2- Simply use the Admin Bookmarks if you want to link to other pages or sites.
