Upgrade questions

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Upgrade questions

Post by nmotion »

First time upgrading.

So, when I upload the new files.

Do I delete the old files except /uploads/ and config.php or do I overwrite existing files and the upgrade script will delete unnecessary files?

I have and don't find it very clear.

However, I take that I need to overwrite the files? Right?

I guess my concern is that it will leave unnecessary files on the server if the upgrade script doesn't clean up after the upgrade.

Thanks.

Which version is your current/old install?

The oldest is 1.2

I just successfully upgraded a 1.2.3 to 1.3.1 simply overwriting the old files.

BTW. I can see that the system in 1.3.1 still doesn't allow you to insert links to files trough TinyMCE. Hope you will fix this very soon.

Thanks for the help!

You should try to deinstall and then reinstall TinyMCE again.

Version 1.2 uses TinyMCE 2.x, version 1.3 uses TinyMCE 3.x
