I have setup a few test sites (using version 1.3) and would like to setup a workflow for pages.
presently in our organization we use Umbraco which is a open source dotnet cms and the reason we went with it was how the user permission could be setup in separate areas like departments.
Finance
Building
Planning
Engineering
Public Works
Each dept editor logs in and only sees their dept (folder) and nothing else
when they add a page or edit a page they "send it to publish" and an email is sent to the "publisher" who then checks the content and publishes the page.
can this workflow be duplicated in cmsms?

Re: editor designer permissions
CMS 1.x doesn't do this.

Well martin_w it's just that this has been asked and answered numerous times in many diff. ways...
I just did a search for 'workflow' and came up with 20 post not counting this one...
So you can see how some times it gets kind of redundant to answer this over and over when a simple search would have answered it just as well...
