I installed the latest version of the album (0.9.3) a few weeks ago and installed this module. Everything works proper but the thumbnails are very small. I red what to do (is included on the help page) but this makes no difference.
This is how my thums looks like:

The width of the thumbnail is controlled by the style sheets (CSS) there are lots of posts in this forum, but it maybe dependant on which template you are using. How about an example page?

Looks to me like there might be a small template/css problem, but the main problem it would seem is that you do not have any thumbnail images and are displaying the larger images as thumbnails?
1. Have a look in the images folder to see if you can see duplicate images named 'thumb_imagename.jpg'. If you uploaded them with the Album software or image manager or file manager and these thumbnails have not been created automatically then you may have a mask and possible rights problem for your thumbnails. This is well documented in these forums. You could even try creating them manually and uploading them yourself - try 100px x 100px square thumbnails.
2.I'd also have a look at getting your pages to validate properly, you cannot expect formatting to work with invalid code!
