mysqldump - Question for Cyberman

Post by devilslayer »

MySql Dump within CMS Made Simple has stopped working, for some reason.

I read in a reply to somebody with this problem that mysqldumper can be used.  I downloaded and installed mysqldumped and tested it.  Everything worked fine.

I then clicked the link to protext the mysqldumper directory and now all I get is a 404 error.

Question for Cyberman,

You mentioned in a post that you use mysqldumper.

Did you have a problem accessing the directory http://www.mydomain.com/mysqldumper/
after you had clicked the link in the mysqldumper admin panel to protect the directory.

I installed mysqldumper and could backup with the php option and perl option.

Now I have clicked the protect directory link in mysqldumper I cannot access the directory and get a 404 error.  I don't get a login box.

I read in the Docs that:

"CMSMS has two methods for handling pretty URLs; It's own internal mechanism and mod_rewrite"

Do you know what I need to do to get mysqldumper to work, as mysqldump has stopped working within CMS Made Simple.

Thank You
cyberman

Haven't got such an error.

After protecting folder /mysqldumper you should get every time a password request before you can use MySQLDumper.

If you have forgotten this password you have only to delete the files .htacess and .htpasswd inside this folder ...
