upgrading mySQL from 3.23 to 5.0 broke cmsms on IIS

Post by norman1 »

I had CMSMS running fine on our IIS 6 server with existing mysql 3.23 and i followed recommended upgrade path to 4.0. CMSMS still worked.
But then couldn't get mysql 4.1 to see existing databases so did a uninstall and direct installation, then used mysqldump.exe to import the previous CMSMS database.
I then found it couldnt handle the old style password so used the OLD_PASSWORD() script to get this working..
After that was just getting a 404 (i think) error and have got no idea where to go from here...

Any idea how i can get this working?

I think you'd get more help at the MySQL site.

http://forums.mysql.com/read.php?11,214844,214844#msg-214844 doesn't seem the best at responding to their forum - i found another old post on there with another problem I was having and no response..

I just posted it on this site because mysql seems to be working fine - just the mysqldump CMSMS database that was imported won't :(

Have you tried putting the install file from whatever ver, of CMSMS you are using and run /install/upgrade.php?...
